Steps for installing the Windows version
If you already have a version older than 2.1.1.1 installed on your Windows computer, it must first be uninstalled manually.
The necessary procedure for this is at the bottom described in detail.
- The procedure is shown using the download in Google Chrome. If you are using a different browser, proceed in the same way as described below.
- Load the setup programme (setup.exe) down.
- When downloading with Google Chrome, the message „setup.exe is an unusual download and could be malicious“ is displayed because the application has not been signed with a certificate.
Click on the down arrow and then on „Retain„.
- Now click on the down arrow and then on „Open„.
- Click on the link „Further information„.
- Now „App: setup.exe“ and „Publisher: Unknown publisher“ (because the programme was published without a certificate) are displayed.
- Click now on „Execute anyway„.
- The following dialogue is displayed immediately afterwards.
- On the following screen, click on „Install„.
- The installation of the programme is started.
- Once the installation has been successfully completed, the programme will start automatically for the first time.
A „ROTAIR FlightLog“ programme icon is created on the desktop, which can be used for future launches of the programme.
- Now it is displayed as „App: ROTAIR FlightLog.exe“ and „Publisher: Unknown publisher“ (because the programme was published without a certificate).
- Click now on „Execute anyway„.
- Once the installation has been successfully completed, the programme is automatically started for the first time
The currently installed version is displayed on the ROTAIR splash screen.
- In the following dialogue you can decide whether you want to work with the demo account or whether you want to create your own account directly free of charge.
- If you click on „No“ you can work with the demo account. Here you have the same options as with your own account, with the only difference that other users can also work with it and the data can be overwritten. If you decide to create your own account, click on „Yes“. The following dialogue is then displayed in which you can enter the details for your own account.
- Once the account has been successfully created, you will be shown the following dialogue as confirmation. All details will be sent by e-mail to the address you entered. We recommend that you keep the e-mail sent to you in a safe place so that you can access your login and password at any time if required.
- The programme is now fully installed and configured.
Procedure for uninstalling the FlightLog software
- Click on Windows Start at the bottom left of the taskbar and type in „Control Panel“. Then click on „Programmes and features“
- Search the list for the name „ROTAIR-Logbook“ and the publisher „ROTAIR-Software“ (the value in „Installed on“ and „Version“ may differ from the information on your system).
- Click on „Uninstall/remove“ to uninstall the programme from your system.
- If „Remove the application from this computer“ is not already selected, select this item.
Then click on „OK“.
- After a successful uninstallation, the entry is no longer displayed in the list.
